Heart’s Desire
My heart desires to be loved when my mind aches to be heard and understood.
My mind thinks about what may lay ahead while my heart just acts on impulse.
My heart loves instantly while my mind find reasons not to trust.
My mind remembers why while my heart fells that pain like it was yesterday.
My heart knows while my mind is undecided.

My heart desires to be trusted while my mind refuses to let anyone in.
My mind knows that pain can be avoided while my heart knows that without pain there can be no joy.
My heart makes wishes while my mind takes action
My mind hesitates while my heart leaps.
My heart takes the chance while my mind doesn’t want to even try.

My heart believes the fantasy my mind creates.
My mind knows what is but my heart believes what could be.
My heart is focused while my mind is easily distracted.
My mind knows what my heart feels to be true.
My heart believes in the impossible while my mind says,”It can’t be done”.

Why the two can never agree is a mystery.
They both want what is best for me.
They know and feel my pain.
I know, I feel they both can be right.
My desire is for them to just be.

Okay, this a rough draft for a poem that just poored out last night. Its called: He Who Waits.

Let Him in the scriptures say.
A simple phrase that at times can be easier said than done.
Let Him into your heart and you will see the man or woman He knows you can be.
Let Him into your soul and you will clearly see who you are and what you can be.
Let Him in he waits at your door.
He can only be invited so take the chance and you will see your life will NEVER be the same for he is the Savior of the World and his love will ever be the same.
The same for you, the same for me he paid the price. He knew for us to live he first would have to die.
Let Him in and you will see how his Atonement can change your life.
Don’t close your heart.Let Him in,let Him in…

I have a special tree.
This tree is as unique as it is special.
It was planted just for me.
It needs no pruning, no water or sun to grow.
It’s not planted in soil or in a clay pot and yet it found the perfect spot.
You can’t see it with the naked eye for you see the tree you seek is planted deep inside of me.
It grows with each smile, kind or encouraging word.
It grows love without measure.
It grows inside me.
The branches are filled with faces my mind has been known to forget, but my heart will always remember.
It’s every moment that I treasure for it grows with love without measure.
I call it my friendship tree and it will grow in my heart forever.
Friends come and go its part of the way life is perhaps meant to be.
So it is my friendship tree that stays with me and comforts me. Faces and memories that helped to shape who I am for a circle is round; it has no end that is how long you shall truely be my friend.
All it needs is love and friends like you!

I see a man so confident and sure of who he is and what he wants to be.
He is reaching out to me.
His smile beckons me.
His eyes seem to be looking into my soul.

The vision begins to fade and I see him as he sees me.
If only he could see what I see then he would know his worth.
If only he could see that he is a butterfly just waiting to be set free.
He would know the man in the white suit that stands before me; the man I see who beckons to me.

A Penny
I found a penny today, Just laying on the ground,
But it’s not just a penny, This little coin I’ve found.

Found pennies come from heaven, That’s what my Grandpa told me,
He said Angels toss them down, Oh, how I loved that story.

He said when an Angel misses you, They toss a penny down,
Sometimes just to cheer you up, To make a smile out of your frown.

So don’t pass by that penny, When you’re feeling blue,
It may be a penny from heaven, That an Angel’s tossed to you

Just for today, I will wear a smile even if a tear shall leave my eye.

Just for today, I will plan for tomorrow to be better prepared for today and things to come.

Just for today, I will reach out to someone who needs a helping hand.

Just for today, I will accept help from a stranger who sees a need and smiles at me.

Just for today, I will give encouragement to someone who feels that all is lost.

Just for today, I will give my love to someone who does not know what love is.

Just for today, I will be the best I can be for today is a brand new day.

The tears I cry are bittersweet.
My little ones have been taken from me.
Why did noone see through the man he was pretending to be?

The tears I cry are bitter sweet.
He took them away from me.
Revenge his intention.
He could only see what damage he could do to me.

The tears I cry are bitter sweet.
My little ones are still close to me.
Watching and looking forward to the day we will meet again.

The tears I cry are bitter sweet.
He cannot hurt them anymore.
For in the arms of their Savior they will forever be.
Watching and praying for me;for their mother I will always be.
