“It’s not the power of the curse – it’s the power you give the curse” This is a quote from the movie Penelope. It’s a movie with a good message and love, one of my favorite combinations that make a good movie. It’s not what you look like its who you are that counts. I thought it was great to have Penelope break the curse herself. She accepted her appearance and the curse was broken. It was a great love story because max/Johnny not only loved her for who she was he realized that he needed to make some changes in his life and he did it for himself not for her. I have found that changes that are made for another person do not always stick; however, when you decide to make changes to improve yourself with the sole purpose of improving your self-image it has a higher possibility of success. You still have to work hard and keep your chin up; however, the end product is well worth the effort.
Here is a picture of James McAvoy, who plays Max/Johnny. He is proof that yes-brunette blue-eyed young men are still my preference. To bad he’s married:( 5+++ stars!
I loved it! David Gordon, a writer, takes this challenge head on and doesn’t give up. I loved the way he allowed him to be a martian and I loved it when he began to teach and to learn why Dennis believed he was from Mars. My favorite scene was when Somewhere, David’s dog, died. The scene in the car looking up at the stars was priceless. The way David’s love transformed the little boy Dennis was amazing. It is a reminder that all children need is to be loved. 5++++ stars!

Well, I probably could, I just don’t want too! I have recorded Bed of Roses and I have watched it sooo many times. I know I have said this before; however, I really think it is true with this movie, the ultimate love story! I mean wow! It has renewed my desire to receive flowers. There was a time that if someone sent me flowers I would cringe. I simply could not handle someone giving me flowers or plants. Now I would give my right arm if I received flowers with so much heart felt meaning behind them. It would have to be flowers though I still think that plants are taboo. Anyway, their story of how they met is just wow! When I first tuned it the movie was almost over and I decided to record it and then when the snippet was over I thought nah,but I didn’t cancel the recording and when there wasn’t anything catching my eye I decided to watch it and I am glad I did. The problem is this scenario has never happened to anyone I know and I have never heard of it happening in reality. I am so doomed I want to fall in love in a movie its so much easier. I could relate to Lisa Walker on so many levels its just I have yet to come in contact with a “Lewis”. Lewis, where art thou! I am tired of toads! 5++++ stars! Best love song ever, below! Enjoy!

It was a movie that made me think about my life and what I want to do with it before I kick the bucket. It was strange because I normally do not like Jack Nicholson; however, I liked him in this movie and Morgan Freeman rocked as usual. 5 stars. Here’s a taste of the music from the movie. Listen to the lyrics they have a great message!

Okay so D TV has its advantages. I can catch up on all the movies I wanted to see just never did for whatever reason. Dying Young just happened to be one of those. The ultimate love story. First for Hillary’s willingness to stay and be Victor’s nurse and then his desire for her to see him normal. Both their fears very legitamate. Hillary’s not knowing if she was strong enough to watch him suffer and his that she would leave when his illness began to be to overwelming. My favorite part was the end and at the same time not wanting it to have an open ending where the viewer could devise the ending. His Lukemia had plagued him for 10 years and he was tired of fighting and she decided to stay and let him know she wasn’t going anywhere. She just wanted him to continue to fight and she would be there if he lived or died. I find myself taking different characteristics from movies and adding them to my list that makes up true blue through and through love. I have discovered since I have begun that not much is on the list it all boils down to: trust, respect, willingness to sacrifce for the other, encouragement and knowing that they instill a desire in you to be all you can be.Movie gets 4 out of 5 stars for the open ending I myself do not like to be kept to my own imagination. I feel I have lost said imagination when I was in the fourth grade shortly after I created my robot Ralph for a project. I’ll tell you more about Ralph some other time.

I don’t think that I have done a review on this one yet. So here it is: its a wonderful love story with an awesome quote and beautiful music. I woke up this morning with this quote by Aristotle going through my mind: Friendship is a single soul dwelling in two bodies. Isn’t that just awesome! Anyway, back to the movie for just a sec then back then i will address the quote again because it inspired a very curious thought. I love how the movie shows what love truely is. It is a deep friendship that goes beyond hanging out and making out. Its the desire to fullfill the dreams and desires of the other, its respect, its aiming high, its wanting to do and be a better person. You don’t change who you are; you just make improvements not because they want you to its because you see for yourself where you can do better. The rose colored glasses are never needed because you see them for who they really are. They are not afraid to be themselves around you and it gives you the unique opportunity to witness a miracle because you bring out the best in them and they bring out the best in you! Threre is an equal give and take and sacrifices are made because you love them and you know without a doubt that they love you in return.
Its not just any love its true love which brings me to my curiuos thought: true love is like joy it is eternal and everlasting because you can go through this life and fall into and out of love beceause love is just love and its the same with happiness you can have periods where you are happy and periods when your not because happiness is fleeting. While, on the other hand, joy is more than just a state of mind it is a way of life and true love is more than a choice or a state of mind; its deeply interwoven into your soul and has become part of you. Ineresting way to look at love and joy isn’t it?
The movie is a total chick flick! 5+++

I learned so much about Emma that I didn’t know before. I think that every women can relate to her no matter what their experiences are in life. Her courage, faith andtrust in our Father in Heaven is truely inspiring.

It is a tear jerker, of course, knowing what happens to her husband and the first prophet of this dispensation; however, seeing it from her perspective is just an amazing insight to how much Joseph loved and relied on her for guidence and strength. She truely was a strong woman!

Great movie! I can’t wait for it to come out on video! The soundtack is awesome too! 5+++ stars!
